Does getting an interview from Emory mean anything?

I got an interview request from Emory a couple days ago. Apparently they only send it to some applicants in about ten cities across the United States. I thought since my city was on that list, everyone here who applied to Emory would get one. But of the many friends I know who applied to Emory who live very close to me, I was the only one who got an interview request. So I was just wondering, does this mean anything. Am I on the borderline or is it just totally random?

    When we went to one of their info sessions they said that they do sometimes ask students for interviews, but said not to read anything into that, but I can't imagine that they would request an interview for someone they have no interest in!

    @shoboemom‌
    Thank you! I also got a phone call today from their office of financial aid, but was unable to pick up. When I called them back, they were closed. I don't want to read to much into somethjng again, but could this mean something?

    Hi. My daughter was accepted to Emory and got the financial aid recording. It just gave dates that everything is due. Hmmmm... Did any of your friends get the recorded message?

    Oh was it a recording! I totally forgot to set up my voicemail box. Should I call them back tomorrow morning or not since I know that I'm missing my parents tax returns. I also don't know anyone besides an international student Who I assume would get no aid that applied.

    The recording just said that FAFSA and CSS are due March 1.

    We got that robocall too. It didn't specify about being an accepted student, but D has been accepted. The call basically reviewed that they need the FAFSA, the Profile and the IDOC (that you get notified of after doing the Profile) if you are interested in FA.
    @couplemoreweeks, I am sure you already have, but have you checked you OPUS account for any messages you haven't read yet? I don't think you need to call...but it wouldn't hurt. I love a reason to call. lol

    I am impressed with Emory's communication. they keep OPUS up to date and now that phone call reminder. Not all the schools are like that!

    I checked my portal and nothing really changed. By the way, how generous would you say Emory is with financial aid?
