Can I get in with a 3.3 gpa a 1370 sat (going to take again and hopefully 1450) with over 1,000 hours of service and created non profit. Also had disease during sophomore and freshman and then got a 4.0 junior which is why my gpa is low. Im female, white, and from a number one private school in cali. I'm also applying ED. Thank you!

Which SAT test date are you going to sit for? I would check and see what your latest possible test date for ED1 would be for Emory or Emory/Oxford.

Your current SAT (which is equivalent to a 29) would be below the 25% level at Emory/Oxford based on last year's admitted student pool which had an average ACT of 31.

Did you end up replacing calculus with statistics?

And last year a 31 ACT was 25% at Emory/Oxford for admittees (probably somewhat lower for actual matriculants). I was unclear about that in my earlier post.

I posted earlier about how Emory/Oxford wants students who would thrive and contribute to its closely knit community. People who want to lead/found clubs and who enjoy small class sizes and being active contributors in class.

If you're planning to target Emory/Oxford with an ED1, I would write essay(s) that reflect that. You're allowed to apply ED1 to both Emory and Emory/Oxford or one or the other. Your choice.

@Sarahsmither It was 25% last year. Will probably be lower this admissions cycle.

Presumably, you've read Emory admissions official policy re SAT exam dates for ED1:
    https://apply.emory.edu/apply/exam.php

As I read it, Emory typically wants you to have your SAT score lined up by Nov 1 - the ED1 deadline.

However, November test dates are often good enough too but not always. You can "self-report" your SAT score if it's an improvement by logging into your College Board account printing out your latest score report and then uploading a copy of that score report to Emory and Emory/Oxford admissions YOURSELF instead of waiting for College Board to send an official copy to Emory. You should probably also follow up with an immediate phone call. Emory says they will accept "unofficial" score reports in this manner. I suggest you self-report if you experience a big score improvement on the SAT.

"Exam Dates: Our office accepts self-reported test scores for the application review process. If you have taken a test later in the year, please ensure our office has a copy of your self-reported scores by the following dates. Applicants may submit additional testing taken after these deadlines, and if the scores arrive before the evaluation, then they will be considered. The review of one's application will not be delayed to wait for scores sent after an application deadline.
