I was just asking because when I went to the Essence of Emory Weekend, my host was from Chicago. She also lived in Dobbs. So, I thought that maybe you were my host. That would have been so cool.

One more question: How do I select my residence hall on the Emory Housing Application?
  • FallOutGirlFallOutGirl Registered User Posts: 26 New Member
do you remember what floor your host lived on?
sorry im not sure how to fill the forms out..we got to pick which hall we lived in when we signed up for dorms

She lived on the first floor of Dobbs. And she WAS a psychology major.

Incoming freshmen aren't allowed to choose their specific dorms this year like we were last year. They select either coed by floor, room, building, whatever and then the university decides.

i agree with everything emory said.
except my order would be: mctyeire, alabama, dobbs, longstreet, harris, turman, trimble, complex, means

and mctyeire houses japs, alabama scholars, longstreet sluts, harris elite (so many super singles), turman minorities, complex druggies, dobbs drinkers. those are my stereotypes.

Any specific reason why Means is at the bottom of your list?

well just because means and longstreet are the same, except means is all single sex, and the entrances to means are kind of inconvenient...like longstreet's main entrance goes right to the duc, trimble and mctyeire are right by frat row, means is by dooleys (which admittedly is aplus, but a small one) and then the others go to teh courtyard. to get to means you have to go all the way around longstreet which is annoying. i dont know, i just think the locatino is inconvenient, and it doesnt have anything to make up for its ugliness and fairly rough location. i don't really think any of the dorms are bad. means is just annoying to get to (altho it takes all of an extra 30 seconds to get to means instead of longstreet, im just a lazy bum)

This year, its coed by floor.
The other stuff does seem annoying though.
