Is Engineering a worthy career to pursue?

GoldeRetroGoldeRetro Registered User Posts: 39 Junior Member
I think I'm going to major in civil engineering. But, I just want to know from others' experiences what pursuing engineering is actually like. Pros and cons, estimated money earned, the process of becoming a PE, etc. Thank you so much :)

Civil is lower paying than other engineering sectors. civil engineers tend to work for government or contractors who depend on government contractors (i.e. for transportation projects). When there is a recession and government cuts back, the civil engineers feel it more than some other engineers. Thats all i know.
