List of Inexpensive Reputable Online College BA/BS Classes and Degrees

Thought it would be interesting to list REPUTABLE (accredited and non-profit) Univs that offer INEXPENSIVE online classes.

In another thread, there was a mention that some people don't have a nearby CC or state school to attend or have no transportation, and therefore must take on a lot of debt to go to college.

So....please provide details and LINKS to good schools that are cheap and have online classes and undergrad degrees.
Try to list schools that have low OOS costs as well, but if that's not possible, indicate the instate and OOS rates.

I'm guessing that these will mostly be publics, but some may be privates as well.

Let's be organized and list by state, in case there is an instate/OOS rate.

I don't know about their costs relative to other options. UMUC has live classes in a number of locations as well as the online courses, and has reduced tuition fees for active military, veterans, and military dependents.

    Arizona

Arizona State University, one of the nation’s largest universities, is joining with edX, a nonprofit online venture founded by M.I.T. and Harvard, to offer an online freshman year that will be available worldwide with no admissions process and full university credit.

In the new Global Freshman Academy, each credit will cost $200, but students will not have to pay until they pass the courses, which will be offered on the edX platform as MOOCs, or Massive Open Online Courses.

    New Hampshire

Southern New Hampshire University is well known for its online offerings and advertises them heavily in the Northeast. No idea about the relative cost, though.

Wondering if it matters what state the school in--i.e., do instate vs. out of state rates apply for online classes at public colleges? Seems like it would be irrelevant for non-publics, in any case. Niece is taking online classes from a local private college so she can work full-time, but her "classmates" are from all over the country. (They all got "know" each other when they started to share complaints about the prof's dilatory grading of assignments and tests--some things are exactly the same at online and traditional schools!)

    Good idea adding lines.

I am so glad to see inexpensive schools where people can get degrees.

I don't know what to list for California, but the following site is a possibility. You might want to decide whether it matches this thread.

The site lets you search for online classes available at community colleges and other colleges (including privates) throughout California. So, this is more a piecemeal solution and probably more appropriate for students who only need a few specific classes that aren't available locally.

    https://cvc.edu/courses/

Good idea for a thread, thanks!

A"reputable" school, does not mean that it has good online degree programs. Quality of online courses are typically all over the map at most institutions except for perhaps a bakers dozen of schools that tightly regulate both course design and delivery. Unfortunately faculty tend to rebel against any intrusive evaluation process under the principle of "academic freedom". You can't trust ratings such as those by US News or other entities. They only look at institutional policies, but never at the courses themselves. The only meaningful evaluation of an online degree program is anecdotal. What are the graduates saying?

I would be able to prepare a list of inexpensive non-profit unis and separate them by state.
However, the "reputable" part is a big question mark because reputable is more of a point of view thing.
Would you guys want this list excluding the reputable part?

I would guess "reputable" would mean the school is accredited and courses are college-level and transferable to other accredited dregree-granting schools.
