im a transfer from cc received cal grant a to pay for my supply and tuition. right now although i eligible for cal grant b which only provide 1.6k a year for supply only and i don't know why isn't cal grant A. they said cal grant b is going to cover your tuition after first year. so right now they grant me SUG to pay for my csu tuition. it makes me kinda confused, are they going to cancel my sug and raise the grant b next year? seems im eligible for both cal grant why they not put me to cal grant a at the first place? thank you !

Did you ask the college? If the Cal Grant A is intended to cover tuition and you already received a SUG grant that covers it, you may not be eligible for the Cal Grant A because your tuition has been paid. Our state has grants like that. Students whose tuition is covered by one grant are ineligible for the others.

Go to your financial aid office and ask to speak with a counselor. Ask them to explain your package and if it will change next year.
