I submitted the app a few weeks ago (the deadline was May 1st). How long does it usually take?

My D didn't have her FA information for sophomore year in her portal until the end of June I think. It was much later than freshman year.

You can send the FA office an email to find out.

Every school will work on their own schedule. Without knowing where you go to school, it's impossible to say, and in any event, your best answer will come form you school's financial aid office.

Yup ...our office was aiming for mid-April, but ended up being 1st week of May (stuff always gets in the way).

Agree with mommdc. For continuing students, it's not unusual to get info in June. I think we got ours usually by July 5.

Many colleges don't give out FA on a rolling basis.

Both of my kids had to accept their awards online. Each item is listed, and all the grants and scholarships are pre accepted, but the loans and work study had to be clicked on and accepted (or the amount changed). One has a scholarship the requires a thank you note be written to the alum who sponsors the award, and if she fails to write that letter the award can disappear!
