Does retaking a class for grade forgiveness look bad?

floridagirl2016floridagirl2016 Registered User Posts: 18 New Member
I switched school 2nd semester of sophomore year and ended up with an awful English 2 honors teacher. I had a B for first semester but got a low D for second semester. Should I retake the semester for grade forgiveness on FLVS?

Does your school actually offer grade forgiveness? Many schools do not. I know FSU does not forgive grades, even if you retake the class and get an A. They just calculate the 2 grades as if they were 2 classes.

I believe floridagirl is a high schooler. I think the answer to the question is, no. My son flunked Spanish twice!! He retook the class thru FLVS and it didn't seem to hurt him at all when applying to colleges.
