California CC transferring to a CSU or UC

I just applied to California Community College. I graduated from a foreign high school and I had to gain my residency status so I took a gap year. My average in high school was about 94%, active in MUN and volunteering at a home for the elderly. During that gap year, I took a course in medical coding and billing to fill in the time. After that, I took a few online courses.

I want to study business, specifically accounting or business economics. I planned on going to a CCC and then transfer to a UC or CSU. As of right now, I'm interested in UCLA, UC Berkley, UC Davis, and CSU Sacramento. I'm not really sure what to do while the school semester has not yet started.

I talked to my counselor a few weeks ago and I was told to maintain a GPA of 3.8-4.0. I also read online that UC Davis and some CSU will guarantee you admission as long as your GPA is higher than 3.5. However, UC Berkley and UCLA are a bit more selective about

Can you give me any advice on what to do to qualify for either UCLA or UC Berkley? What do they look for when they say "leadership"? Would it impress them if you had won a research competition regarding business? What classes should I take? I read that UC's prefer to have CCC students to take calculus classes. What are things I should focus on to be admitted to Haas?

I'm a transfer student. If you're looking to get into the UC's, you can TAG(transfer admissions guarantee). It's a program where as long as you meet a certain gpa requirement and the TAG major is offered, you are guaranteed enrollment into that UC. UCLA/UC Berkeley/UC San Diego do not apply. But UCSB, UCI, UC Merced, UC riverside, UC Santa Cruz, are apart of this program.

In terms of classes needed for transfer, use assist.org. It's a fantastic resource website for california community college students. It will tell you for whatever csu/uc you want to transfer to, based on your intended major and classes offered at your cc, which classes you need to take to meet the requirement for transfer in that major for your intended schools.

Thank you very much for the reply! I have been looking around the assist.org website for quite a while now and I've been trying to create a mock schedule for when I take classes this summer
