Gap year at risd

My daughter has been admitted to RISD and wants to focus on Interior Architecture.
Any pointers on how RISD is treating gap year applications from someone who has gone thru process would be very helpful. And any gap year ideas!

    A gap year activity for anyone in the arts, would be to continue to make art. If all she does during a gap year is draw/paint/sketch/learn Vectorworks or some other design software, that's probably good enough.
