Meeting someone off of linkedin in person?

I met someone off of linkedin who lives on the other side of the state as me (about 1 hour away). We both went to different colleges, but had the same major in our undergrad colleges. How can I ask her to meet up in person?

When you say you met someone, you mean you've actually corresponded back and forth? Do you want to meet for professional purposes or do you have a personal interest? Next time you write ask if she would be interested in meeting in person half way at a Starbucks or similar. Make clear if you want to meet to discuss job prospects or if you just want to meet to chat. Prepare for a no, unless you are planning to offer her a job.
