Deferred... What now?

I just found out that I've been deferred and I'm absolutely heartbroken. Georgetown is, and always will be, my top choice. What do I do now to show my continued interest in the school? I'm done with standardized tests so what else can I send them?

Here are my stats:

Admission Status: Deferred
School: NHS for nursing
SAT Composite (CR/M/W): 2200 800/680/720
ACT Composite: 35
GPA (W/UW): 3.8 unweighted
Rank: top 2%
SAT IIs: World History (790), Bio M (780), Literature (700)
# of APs: World History (5), Bio (4), US History (5), English Literature (5), Statistics (4), taking US Gov, English Language, Chemistry, Calc AB, and Spanish this year
Rate your essays: pretty good
Rate your recs: didn't get to read them but the teachers told me they wrote excellent ones
Extracurriculars: National Spanish Honor Society, National Honor Society, Spanish Club, German Club, German exchange program for 2 weeks, People to People Ambassador, volunteered at hospital for 3 years, math team, volunteered at church and library frequently
Type of high school: public
State/Country: NY
Hooks: Hispanic, nothing else really

Can someone shed some light onto this situation? I'm really upset and want to do whatever I can to improve my chances on getting in RD!

Definitely reiterate your interest and keep up your grades this year. But short of winning some sort of major award or being published, I think the best thing you can do would be to consider retaking your SATs. They do accept January test scores. I have the same reading and math as you and was deferred as well and I'm retaking in January. It's pretty depressing having to take them again but I think boosting the math score into the 700's can make a difference.

Honestly you seem like the perfect candidate for Georgetown! I have no idea why you were deferred. I have always been in love with Georgetown as well (Yale and Georgetown are my top choices) but you are such a better candidate than I am! I was also deferred and it physically hurt when I opened that letter last Saturday. I'm sorry about getting deferred but I am sure you will get in for RD!
