Hey Arkansas Friends, are y'all alright?

I heard there was a very nasty storm that passed through the eastern portion of Arkansas today and did some pretty bad damage. I hope everyone from Arkansas who frequents this board will check in to let us know you're okay.

Glad to hear you're okay, sr6622. I just read that five counties were declared disaster areas, one of those being Faulkner (Conway). I do hope everyone is okay.

Hi SplashMom, thanks for asking! :-)
I thought everything was OK at my house, but when I came home from work today, I found that part of the metal roofing that covers my deck was flapping in the wind! It's not too bad, and from what I can see, the roof of the house isn't damaged. No shingles blown off. Just minor damage, probably from straight-line winds.

I'm glad to hear you are safe and sound, ArkansasMom. I'm sorry to hear about your deck roof, but I'm glad your house roof wasn't damaged, too. We had some pretty bad storms roll through here this evening, but it sounds like the ones that hit Arkansas were considerably worse. I saw some video of the Arkansas damage on the news and there appeared to be quite a bit. Having been through two tornadoes in my life, I know that is a terribly scary thing. I'm so glad you are okay.
