Not loving TJ

After much prep and work, now at TJHSST. Not loving it. Do not believe the stats -- TJ is 85% Asian. Not an inclusive place. The commute is a bear, and the building is falling down. Would love to drop but my parents would kill me. Stay there or go back?

Be honest, it is more about the intense competition for grades than the large number of Asians, old building and commute.
You don't think you can take the pressure and stress.
Tell your parents you are doubting your chances of succeeding.

TJs figure of 66% Asian is still pretty amazing.

Asians are roughly 5% of US population, according to Wikipedia.

It sounds like hell to be honest. Get out of there.

I remember taking the test. Just glad I didn't end up there. In my opinion, you should stay. You've earned it and you'll probably end up being successful.

Uhm... is this about the Asians or the competition/pressure?

It is the school. It is a dump --the worst school I have ever seen. It is in a bad section of town. The work load is ridiculous. And it is an hour from my house. The people are nice. I am not having a problem with the work... yet. My parents are hearing more and more about how great this school is, so it is hard to talk to them. I wish I had blown the test.
