Need Help: STEM Summer Program choices

Hey there
With the in person camps cancelled this summer and going into 9th grade I wanted to get good at research and do some independent research since no professors are willing to take kids so young. I am pretty good at python and trying to figure out how to get started using online public data sets and starting some research but am lost. So was hoping to look at some summer programs to help guide me and need help since am confused what is a good choice from the below:
- https://www.inspiritai.com/liveonline $900 but looks like teaches some research tactics and in the end you finish a project as well
- https://www.summersteminstitute.org/ $3k minimum but not sure if its legitimate and worth it
- Maybe take some courses on udemy or coursera on python+data science and maybe a certificate as well and then go figure out independent research
- Try taking some university pre college program online? cannot seem to find anything related to research
Any thoughts and suggestions will be greatly appreciated
