dental stuff

have any of you ever had deep cleaning done?
my dentist said i needed it after i got my braces off...
is it painful? do they numb you?

    Not painful at all. My ortho didn't recommend it to me, but I chose to go anyway. Felt like the clean / right thing to do. Btw, they did not numb me.

    Some of my friends had braces stains on their teeth. As in, where the brackets were previously, they were pearly white, everything else was yellow-ish. Pretty disgusting. If I had those stains I'd do the deep cleaning next day.
