Wanting to start a girl up chapter at school

Hey everyone! I want to start a girl up club at my school. Girl Up is in collaboration with the United Nations, and their central mission is to aid girls in developing nations receive an education and to help empower them. In addition, it would be a forum for conversation about our opinions on politics/ feminism, to help us be more politically active, to aid in women’s shelters near us, and to possibly even pass legislation in collaboration with other girl up coalitions.

I am still kinda skeptical about whether I can actually make this a success. I don’t want to make this one of those pointless clubs that don’t achieve anything, because I view that as a waste of time.

If anyone has experience with starting a club like this or being in girl up, it would be amazing if I could get ideas of what actually goes on during the meetings, and what your girl up chapter did to be successful.
