Our high school does not have AP classes, as such students are not expected to have AP exams.

The UCs review applications in the context of what is available to a student at their particular school.

The weighted classes are a mix of “honor classes” that are UC approved and community college (for my older two). Any CA HS can go through a UC approval process to have certain “honors” classes approved for extra weighting.

Our HS has 3 honors classes approved that way.

The list for each HS is found on the UC website and also includes the courses that are a-g for each CA HS.

Our school does offer IB classes which shows rigor but does not earn GPA bump or test results until senior year so those results are not in the 10-11 UC GPA.
