Help finding an internship for a freshman

periklisperiklis Registered User Posts: 122 Junior Member
Hello guys, I am an engineering freshman at Penn State and I am interested in finding an internship for the Summer of 2012. I already use some services PSU provides but I would like to hear more opinions on how to find internships.

(I dont have a problem with the company if it relates to engineering, IT, finance, consulting, energy, etc)

Also I don't have a problem with the location and I understand that if the internships is on a city like NY I probably wont get paid. That's ok, I want it for the experience.

Thanks for the help!

The best resource is your school's Career Center and Career Fairs. You shall apply to any job postings for internships that accept your major or All Major. You shall also attend the upcoming Career Fair(s) at Penn State. My son has gotten his internships in the past three years through his school's Career Center and Career Fairs.

Doubtful you can find a decent internship after your freshman year. You still don't have any skills.
