Is it harder for a man to become a Bookkeeper?

According to Payscale Bookkeepers are 90% female and I was wondering would that mean it is harder for a man to become one?

Or is it just less men trying to become Bookkeepers?

There are just fewer men going for this role.

However, if I were you, I would think bigger/slightly differently from bookkeeping. This is a career that's actually in slight decline, and the industry is projected to lose about 25,000 jobs before 2026. That's because computer programs do a lot of the work that bookkeepers used to do.

If you're interested in maintaining financial records for a company, look into accounting instead - much better job prospects. Other roles you can consider are auditor, actuary, financial analyst, and budget analyst.
