Mathematics and Physics

I go Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and just recently changed my major from optical engineering to physics. Now, I am thinking of changing to mathematics. For various reasons, I am considering transfering to Iowa State. Are the physics and mathematics undergraduate programs respected there? Are professors accessible? One of the reasons I want to transfer from Rose is that its a small school in the middle of nowhere (Terre Haute) and there aren't tons of clubs you can join. One of the things I like about Rose is that you have lots of one on one with professors where you can ask questions. Would I get that at Iowa State?
