can you explain why the 670 is so bad? idk we don't really get a lot of info about them at my school, so i don't really know what's good and what's bad...

Because it's a really low powercentile relative to other testakers.

and also math2 is considered an easy 800, compared to other subject tests
  • YanksDolphinsYanksDolphins Registered User Posts: 1,068 Senior Member
I wouldn't call it an easy 800, but it's more doable than on other tests.

definitely not an easy 800. but i agree that it's more doable than others.

Let me rephrase it a bit. The people who take Math 2 tend to be somewhat good at math, so the test isn't too hard for them. In addition, the curve is pretty generous so if you can answer, say 45/50 questions, you'll probably score close to 800.

no one here has actually answered the OP's question. does he/she have a good chance? I don't think i'm experienced enough to help you answer that question so I'll leave it to others who are :)

thanks to yanksdolphins for giving the math 2 explanation with a more neutral standpoint... the whole "easy 800" was a bit of a doozy. i am considering retaking it now. thanks :)

also nooob... thanks for reminding people that i still haven't exactly been "chanced"

It's hard for any of us to really "chance" the OP. I can give my opinions though: the SAT scores are not that great, definitely at the low end of the spectrum. However, the class rank is good. Your EC's seem okay-nothing out of this world but certainly respectable.
