Congratulations on your acceptance and scholarship. Was your acceptance package mailed on March 21? My D is anxiously awaiting word from Kenyon here in NY.

I got a 33 ACT and a 3.9 unweighted at a difficult high school with a difficult schedule and got 0 as well.

It kind of sucks, (about the money) but I guess i just means that this class is even more qualified.

Got in with a 32 ACT and 760WR/760CR/640M plus all low 700's for three subject tests, top 10% (aprox 3.9 UW w/ AP's), consistent ECs, killer recs

Hmmm, that 200,000 dollar price tag doesn't sound too great to my parents.
The lack of scholarship money that they have to offer is very disappointing.

We looked at lots of schools prior to my D's admission to Kenyon. All in all, we toured about 12 schools before she narrowed down her applications to 4 of them. Although it was among the most expensive schools we toured (we looked at several in and out of state universities, as well as small private institutions) it was the single campus where I really felt I could "see" where the money goes.

In as much as I wish we had been offered money, I feel so good about her attending this school, even at full price. The campus and facilities far exceed those of schools twice their size. Kenyon continues to invest in building and facilities. Classes are small and students are offered world class research opportunities.

Kenyon's Board of Trustees could offer more tuition scholarship. However, they would have to then choose not to spend money on those things that make Kenyon special.

Yes, Kenyon is expensive for our very middle class family; our D was offered a significant scholarship at a competing institution. Seeing where our (many) tuition dollars will be going, however, lets us feel confident about this expensive decision.

Kenyon is kind of ridiculous with the scholarships...
A lot of people seem to be getting nothing, but I got about $40,000 total financial aid ($3,500 of which is work study and loans, which is barely anything...) I got a $16,000 science scholarship which is about the sweetest thing ever, I guess I told them I was interested in chemistry...?
