Withdrawal and LSDAS GPA Calculation

A popular misconception perpetuated on this forum is that the LSDAS calculates 'Withdrawal' grades as an F. For some disabuse, and relief of those who actually have 'W's on their transcripts, the following is an excerpt taken from the LSDAS Information Book 2005:
Withdraw, Withdraw/Pass—only if the
issuing school considers the grade
nonpunitive.
