AP Statistics Textbook or Prep Book

I was planning on reading my AP Statistics textbook, because due to our school only ever having 5 students pass the AP Stat Exam, I believe I need to put in some effort outside of school. Would reading through the entirety of the book be helpful or harmful? Or should I just read through a few AP Stat prep books/
