My son got a C+ in honors geometry in 8th grade.
Can I ask the high school to start new with respect to credit so it dies not affect his GPA or should I just let him continue?
He missed a B by 1 missed HW assignment during COVID etc. Did well on finals

Is 8th grade part of your son's high school?
Either way, schools won't count it since it's not in the typical 4 years evaluated in the admissions process.

8th grade is almost never included on any transcript. And I’m certain it wouldn’t weigh into any college admissions decision even if it is.

Are you sure it will be included in his HS GPA? That would be very, very uncommon (unheard of, to me).

My son took Geometry in 8th grade at his then-future high school, and it's included on his HS transcript and in his GPA.
