In this academy, there are speech and writing competitions in which students are required to memorize 2 minute speeches and recite them to an audience of about 1000 people.These are the prizes that I have won:
7th Grade- Honorable Mention Speech, Honorable Mention Writing

- As you can see in my sophomore schedule, I took a class called Science Research. This class is 3 year elective in which I can earn undergraduate research credits. This class takes about 13/75 kids and we all pick different topics to research. I research different types of cancer therapeutics. The class has affiliations with the University of Albany and it requires students to take part in research. During the summer of my sophomore year, I did research at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. I did this research for 115 hours. During this summer, I will be researching at Johns Hopkins Medical Center and I will be doing my own research about modifying chemotherapy in order to reduce side effects for patients that have malignant brain tumors.

Do I have a shot at McGill?

    your EC's mean nothing, not sure why you mentioned it.

    Minima for admission into science according to the website is,

    A- average in grades 10,
    11 and 12;
    A- in each prerequisite
    math and science;
    each SAT I and II 670 or
    ACT 30 (subscores 26 or higher)

    Courses: pre-calculus;
    two of biology,
    chemistry or physics
    SAT IIs: two of Math,
    Biology, Chemistry or Physics

    This was the minimum accepted for 2012. Could be higher now and its just the minimum, no guarantee of acceptance if applying with this. Get a bit higher the minimums and you will get it no problem.
