How hard is it to change majors?
I applied for entrance to McGill University as a Nursing major, but the problem is that I was supposed to submit 2 SAT subjects in either math or the sciences for entrance to Nursing. But for my SAT Subject test I only took Biology and Literature. Most of the majors i'm interested in have a prerequisite with SAT II Math, and I didn't take it. The only eligible majors I can partake in is the Arts or Education which only requires ANY 2 SAT Subject tests. I think I do have a relatively good chance of getting in, but into another major (arts/education.) Can't I just accept my offer in, for example, arts, and then switch my major? McGill was on the top of my list, and I fit all the criteria except that darn SAT II Math. What do you guys think?7 replies
