Chances and Question

McGill seems like an awesome place. Great education, great social scene, laidback, affordable, what more can you ask for? Well, I do have one question. How is McGill's math (or is it maths in Canada?) program? Now for my chances.

Top 2% of class (class size around 650)
SAT: only 2000, might not even send it in
ACT: 34
Planning to take Math Level 2 subject test and another science one probably
Lots of APs: English Lang, Spanish, US History, Physics B-taken already, Biology, Stats, English Lit, Calc BC, Gov, Econ, Environmental Science-taking
Is this all they consider?
Also what kind of merit scholarship do you guys think I can get if I get in?

Don't even bother sending SAT2s. They take either SAT + 2 subject tests, or the ACT by itself. SO basically ur ACT score is incredible.

I think you mean SATs--I know in Engineering two SAT2s are required; one has to be in Math2 and the other in one of the Sciences, such as Chemistry or Physics

I know in engineering, SAT II's are not required. How do I know? I never sent them in. For science the same applies. Between my twin brother and I, there were admission offers to the faculty of science, arts, and engineering. All of those offers were made without the submission of a single SAT II. Unless they JUST changed it. If so, I'm sorry...

It appears you're right if you submit an ACT and not an SAT1

It appears SAT2s are required if you submit an SAT1 instead of an ACT score. On the east coast at least, most kids submit SAT1s with the two SAT2s--There's a link on the above page to minimum SAT2 scores required

Ok so I'll just send my ACT. Now how is the Math program at McGill?

Re your scholarship question, I know a valedictorian in a US high school who received a $5K scholarship on entering McGill, though you have to maintain a certain gpa to retain it past the first year. Given McGill's absence of grade inflation, it's not a given that you'll retain it.
