This is going to sound odd at first, so bear with me, please.

A friend of mine is a senior in high school and she's currently applying for colleges. She really wants to work in the music industry, recording music and the like, but she's not sure how to start off her college years in preparation. None of the colleges or universities in the state she lives in offer exactly what she's looking for, but surely they may have prerequisites that she'd need.

I'm already in my second year of college, but I'm going for Fine Art and I have no clue how to help her approach this situation. She's like a little sister to me, and I'd like to give her a hand. Does anyone have any suggestions on what she should look for in the schools she's looking at so that she can prepare for later?
