Record Studio Reputations around NYC and DC

Hi, I'll be using Simple Studios in NYC this summer. I'm wondering how safe this studio is considering I'm a 17 year old girl who will be visiting this studio alone. Is the neighbourhood in which Simple Studios located safe? Also, if anyone knows anything about One World Studios in Washington DC it would also be greatly appreciated.

** Also, any other suggestions for good studios (around Manhattan and DC) that do walk-ins and that are in safe neighbourhoods (considering I do not know these areas well) would be appreciated.

I mean, it's at West 29th street. The area itself isn't a problem. As a girl of any age, you just need to be aware of your surroundings, and stay where it's always lit. The busier street the better. I don't know anything about the studio, i've personally never used it, but its the second floor of a larger building which leads me to believe that you have to get past someone on the first floor in order to get to the elevator/stairs.

I think you'll be fine. I did NYC alone at 17 too. Just constantly be aware. You'll be just fine :)

My D has been going to NYC alone since she was 13. Just use common sense and you will be fine. This is a perfectly fine area....as CarnegieMT said, just use common sense as you would in any city.
