18 months ago, our family toured SUNY Geneseo and got information about the university's MT program although we did not meet with the MT faculty at that time.

We were impressed with the university as a whole and this program. If looking at BA MT programs, I would highly recommend taking a closer look at it as long as a small town setting is amenable to the applicant.

@Riley2020 Geneseo has a great academic reputation in NY state . Beautiful campus. I believe they send juniors/seniors to nyc for a week for master classes ,workshops etc. There is also a London semester. That’s all I know. If you are looking at SUNYS Fredonia, University at Buffalo and Cortland have BFA’s in MT. Purchase has a BFA In Acting and BA in Theatre Performance . New Paltz has a strong Theatre program , Oswego just built a new theatre complex and Buffalo State has an active theatre dept. You may want to check out Sage College as well. It is not a SUNY but they give good aid and it is a small program in a city with lots of opportunities. They are part of the NYS Theatre Institute. They have a High School Theatre Honors Weekend in January that also can act as your audition. I know several actors who went through the MT program at Sage and are very happy . Best of luck on your search .
