I know this question has been asked alot, but can someone please post the text from their Naval Academy Letter of Assurance? I've received a letter and I would like to verify that this is it. My biggest concern is if the LOA actually has the words "Letter of Assurance" in it. Thank You!

The USNA LoA is a one page, two sided letter. I can't remember the exact wording but it say something like you are guaranteed admission if certain requirements met. Then there are list of conditions, there will be check marks in boxes next to the requirements you still have outstanding. At the bottom of the second page it shows that a copy has been sent to your MOCs. I know that my son's LoA to USMA had the words "letter of assurance" on it, but his LoAs to USNA and USAFA I'm pretty certain don't have those exact words. Send me a private message if you have any other questions. You might also want to check out United States of America Service Academy Forums - Powered by vBulletin. There is a lot of info there.
    Best of luck to you!

Yeah LOA is kind of a forum/"crazy admission parents" invented word in the USNA world. I'm pretty sure you got one.

Actually "Letter of Assurance" is a term that is from the USNA Admission's website.

..."You are guaranteed an offer of appointment if your remaining admissions requirements are satisfactorily met..."

guaranteed an offer of appointment are bolded in the letter.

BGO called it an LOA. Assistant Director of Admissions called it a LOA. An LOA it is. But, by any name a LOA would smell as sweet. :)

Not made up here. On son's Dodmerb page it shows NA-LOA for his Navy LOA. On his Air Force online page it says Status: Letter of Assurance. However on neither of the actual letters does it say that anywhere!
