Summer classes at Hunter?

I applied to Hunter in 2009 and got in but didn't go. It was my safety school. Today I got an email from Hunter about summer classes for visiting students. SUMMER IN THE CITY AT HUNTER COLLEGE — Hunter College

The cost is unreal! It's something like $300 per unit and $600 for 6 weeks of student housing!!!! But it's errr...CUNY, ya know?

Does anyone know what the classes and professors are like at Hunter? I've been reading here and reviews seem to be mixed.
I wouldn't dorm because I live here but I have friends in other states who would die to come to New York for that price.

But I just don't know if it's worth it. I mean, we still do need to take good classes to transfer to back to our school.
