Needing help how to get into FIT

I want to apply to Fashion Institute of Technology but I want to know what need done and if it's hard to get into with my current “status”.

I graduated High School but instead I received an IEP (Individualized Education Program) diploma. I passed my GED, and now I have a GED diploma but now I want to apply to my dream school and I’m not sure if I could get in. What do I need to get done to get into FIT? (I want to major in Photography or Fashion Merchandising Management)

I have a good friend who went to FIT. I remember him taking classes there on the weekends, building his portfolio, and taking any internship he could get for about two years before he was accepted.

Contact an admissions counselor and ask them what it takes. They'll be forthright with you. Good luck!
