the same way there was no need for you to post that unecessary comment? yeah...just so u know i did that to get as many opinions as possible bc not everyone reads every single thread...as for your comment, it was just a waste of time

I swear to God I do not have two usernames. ha-ha ;) seriously

again, monabala86, you are not going to get accepted. seriously, with your stats? and plus you are not even an E.D. applicant...REJECT! so now stop posting the same thing over and over...like I used to do...I am telling you, people hate to see that. ha-ha :) just from my own personal experience on this board. :) listen to me

Monabala u have about 5% chance at best

Your sat is very low (u dont apply to GSP, they put you in generally if you have either killer ECS or great gpa and a low SAT score) Your gpa u gave me is very low, im assuming its on a weighted scale, since last semester u got 4.33, so that make syour gpa even lower. You have like 2 clubs, didnt mention any sports or AP's classes.... no reason for them to accept you. Now that you have posted on 3 posts, u have your answer and shh, lol

yes he is correct.

ugh, alright guys....do i really have to say this? over compensating lol maybe but not anymore.

Mark my words,

mona you have "zero" chance and you should not apply just in case you might get into GSP and that I might have to bear seeing you, the most unqualified individual, for the four years of my life at NYU. Seriously, do NOT apply to NYU. Though it's up to you. However....think about it, you don't want to embarrass yourself infront of the whole admissions office. They will tear the app apart into awfully little pieces.

yet I still do think you are an OK candidate but not that of a strong candidate. feel little better? i hope so.

best of luck !

Oh I am so sorry Monabala86!

I thought about it again, and I came to a conclusion that you will most likely to get in. GSP seeks a candidate with 1200s range and an upward-trend G.P.A. and you perfectly fit into this criteria, a decent SAT which is in the GSP range and a clear upward-trend G.P.A. with a nice cumulative G.P.A. I really cannot say that you will get in 100% but I believe that you are a strong candidate and you are the one whom the admissions office is looking for, at least G.S.P.

Could you please list your ECs and others so that I can evaluate more accurately. I have to say this: I did not mean to hurt your feelings.

I thought you were a boy and I was joking around with matti.

Please list your ECs and other activities and so on!

I really hope to attend NYU with you next year!

by the way, my name is Jason and you can always contact me

kjayson7****
or if you really need, which I doubt but I do hope so, 201-724-5939

thank you!

I've heard this a few times... "GSP seeks a candidate with 1200s range SAT..."

And was wondering, would it be more likely to be rejected all together from NYU rather than to get into GSP because I have a lower GPA and a higher SAT? Weighted GPA-3.75, SAT-1460...

I'm really not thinking I'm going to be getting in now...
• mattistotlemattistotle Registered User Posts: 1,743 Senior Member
is the 3.75 weighted or unweighted? and was there an upward trend? whats the class rank
• CaliHopefulCaliHopeful Registered User Posts: 64 Junior Member
unfortunately, 3.75 was my weighted GPA =(
3.3 is my unweighted GPA...yea I know..HORRIBLE...
Yea, there is an upward trend through the years....
My class rank is 50/360

are u the person who is mexican? if so i think youll get in
• CaliHopefulCaliHopeful Registered User Posts: 64 Junior Member
Yea, haha,
I'm the Mexican female...
have some decent EC's too...(in my opinion, of course)
Founded Model UN, President Model UN
Class Vice President
Varsity Soccer 4 years (captain)
Volunteered in a 3rd world country for 6 weeks
Mock trial 10-12
Volunteer counselor at an environmental camp for a week
and some other smaller ones

But I mean, I don't know if they are even going to want to look at my EC's and minority status after they see my GPA

I wish i were a mexican male off the ship like a month ago...
