    Hey guys!
I am an international student from Pakistan applying to NYUAD in ED1. I would like to have some advice on whether my profile is strong enough and what I can do to further improve it.
    It goes like:

    ACADEMICS:
    O-Levels: 6A* and 2A
    AS: 2A and 1B
Predicted A2 (combined A-Level grades from my counselor): 1A* and 2A
Didn't take or will take the SAT or any other standardized test

    ECs: (a few....)
-Launched an app, Esos. Esos allows users to file complaints and take action about deforestation, water and civic utility problems. At the Play Store in late Sept.
-Founded a non-profit charity, Impact Pakistan. Arrange massive plantations and awareness campaigns. 1200+ trees and USD1350 donation collected in two months, with media coverage.
-took part in international Environmental Science competitions. Didn't win though.
-Varsity table tennis team captain and the school's official referee and coach.
    - Content writer on a reputable online blog, (ranked #6th overall on the platform) and published research articles in newspapers, along with some political and event-related journalism.

My Recommendation letter is from my English teacher who knows me extremely well and for the past 5 years, and also happens to be my mother's colleague.
The NYU supplement is certainly good although I am still working to improve the Common App essay.

CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME IF I HAVE ANY SHOT AT NYUAD???
Also, please share your profiles in a similar fashion, so we can help each other in improving parts of our application.

I think you're solid. Always remember that you still need a little bit of luck too!

I'm from Costa Rica, my national exams average was 97,9 out of 100.
    I'm taking the SATs.

    ECs

National Chemistry Olympiad candidate, won Honorific Mention on Intermediate Category 2017 and Silver Medal on Advance Category 2018; passed the super finals (out of nearly 1000, were only 10 left in 2017) and was classified to represent Costa Rica in the Centroamerica and The Caribbean Chem Olympiads. (I ended up not going because my birthday was after their rules, so i couldn't sign up) ;Exchange year in Switzerland, where I learned German and Swiss Culture in 2016 ; HMX Online courses with Harvard, earned a certificate of achievement in Immunology and one of completion in BioChem ( I might delete this activity overall, idk);Went to Harvard Summer School last summer for 7 week, took Intensive Organic Chemistry (8 college credits) and got an A- (out of 80 people, I was one of the 4 high school students there); I have been playing the flute in my town's Marching Band for 4 years, we have gone to a lot of festivals around the country and won a lot of them; 1 of the 10 Volunteer ambassadors at "Movimiento Joven" were we organize social projects to benefit the communities of Costa Rica, we work with Children a lot and I am also head of the Media Design Department where I design publicity for them; Got elected to participate on MenTe: Women in Science and Technology, where me and 2 other girls designed a Costa Rica's sign language (LESCO) learning app. We are working alongside IBM because they want to launch the app; I also tutor high school students for our National Exams in Math, English and Chem.
I took a gap year and I have to explain more about that but I won't write my activities of that here since they don't really go in ECs.

    @MJabel Wow!
Seems like you are the best candidate for the Chemistry major <3
I am also appearing in Chemistry too though as NYUAD doesn't offer an Environmental Sciences major :(
But I think your application is really substantial. Good Luck <#

Hey! So when I talked to the AO in AD she told me that the nomination process didn't really help them with their decisions, so they view it as unnecessary– specially with the applicant pool rising every year!

    Hey guys,
I have chosen to submit my A-level grades as the Standardized testing requirements.
My counselor has emailed it to the college but my portal shows that my Standardized test score is awaiting. Does anyone know what is happening ? I have emailed them and haven't heard back. It's already Nov 4 .....

@Einstein00 relax. They have thousands of applications to update (and probably hundreds of anxious emails). It can take up to 2 weeks to update the portals for things like this from what I recall from last year. If you know your counselor has sent it, just exercise a little patience :)

@SJ2727 Candidate Weekend invites will start rolling out in 9 days and my transcripts are still "awaiting" . Oh, well, it's 8 days and a half now. An unprocessed document can easily cost us admission.

@uchida yes that is required for CSS. (It is expected that both parents contribute where they can regardless of who has primary custody. ) There is a process for a waiver in certain circumstances, for example if you have no contact with the non-custodial parent https://cssprofile.collegeboard.org/pdf/css-profile-waiver-request-non-custodial-parent.pdf
