NYU Rescind Policy

I just got accepted to NYU ED and I was wondering if there were any cases where IB students are rescinded by NYU due to low final IB grades (not matching up with predicted grades)...... Also, does anyone know the maximum IB points that I can go down to be safe?

I don't know and I don't think anyone does know any certain level where NYU will automatically rescind. I do know ED accepted students have gotten warnings from NYU when their first semester grades didn't correspond with previous levels of achievement. I don't know if they were rescinded, I think not. IMO, you've probably worked hard to get this far, don't let the relief of "getting in" put that at risk. You don't have to kill yourself in school - the basic rule for avoiding rescission is "No Ds, No Fs and no felonies". I'd go one step further and say - keep up a good amount of effort and focus. Just don't let schoolwork slide and you should be okay.

@CaMom13 thanks for the reply. My school is a bit different so I sat for my final exams before NYU decision came out. I was just wondering how many IB points I can lose from my predicted grades to not get rescinded...

I don't think they'll rescind you due to differences in final grades, as long as final grades aren't really bad, @MrDiaz . Schools don't go looking for reasons to cut people they have accepted.
