Greetings all!

I'm going to dive straight into it, So I have applied to all of the UC's except for merced and riverside for fall 2014, I also have gotten accepted into SFSU for Spring 2014. The problem I am having right now is that I have a 2.95 JC Gpa, I know it is not great at all but I have had family health problems/ family business to take care during my JC career. I did address in my UC essay that I am an only child and my father was diagnosed with cancer and was being treated for it and I had to take on my fathers responsibility's of course for our family business and that's why my GPA is not up to par. The problem i'm having is I would really like to attended a UC and would deff. take any UC over SFSU any day but SFSU starts on Jan. 27 and I have to let them know if I am attending by Jan. 19. Should I not take my admission at SFSU and try my chances at a UC? And also I don't know if it matters but I applied as a psych major to all of the UC's and my Psych GPA is 3.5 and if i do decided to not go to SFSU I can also get my AA from my JC in Psych. I already have my IGETC done and will be getting my AA if I decide not to go to SFSU

Please what would you guys recommend? should I take a shot at the UC's?

your time is greatly appreciated
