Any current Northern Colorado students here?

TahunaTahuna Registered User Posts: 48 Junior Member
Although we still have a lot of schools to hear from, Northern Colorado is currently at the top of the list of those my son has been accepted to. Are there any current Northern Colorado MT students here that would be willing to exchange some messages with him, maybe talk about what life is like there?

Northern Colorado was one of my S two acceptances last year. He was impressed with the campus. I was impressed with the fact that N C is part of the Western Tuition Exchange, giving in state tuition to member states (of which we were). Although he ultimately accepted his current school because he wanted to stay in California, I think he would have gone there and been very happy.

They have a great program! I go out there every year to teach a one week pop/rock intensive and have had the chance to get to know the faculty and students very well. I HIGHLY recommend it.

This may sound like a weird comment but has any student at UNC had altitude sickness? D is very prone to migraines that are weather related and I'm concerned she would have altitude issues as well.
I heard of 2 students who felt sick in Denver after a few months had to leave college.

My daughter starts there next month in the music performance program. We have been very impressed with how kind and helpful everyone has been. The school has all sorts of programs to make students feel more comfortable, from helping you buy dorm linens to delivering care packages to a rental program (a little expensive, but SO convenient) that has a "MicroFridge" (microwave, freezer, and fridge) waiting for you in your dorm room on arrival. I don't know any other college that looks after its students so well. My daughter is very excited about the music program and thinks the campus is beautiful. We looked at several colleges, but it was love at first sight on her first visit to UNCO. We have heard UNCO has the best music program in the state and has the best dorms.
