ACT Question

Okay, so I got a 33 on the ACT, and I sent that score in; however, that composite was without writing, so I had to send in my 31 composite as well (because that one has writing.) Anyway, my question is, will it hurt me to have sent in the lower composite? I know a 33 is competitive for Northwestern, but will they discount my 33 because of my 31? Or will they just take the 33 into account because it's higher?
