Slightly surprised, but I know their program is very competitive. They told us it was 15 percent in an info session.

Also only applied to nursing programs. Because it might help others:

GPA high 3 point unweighted. Senior schedule heavy in bio science (neuroscience, anatomy)
SAT: mid 600s for each part
MA resident, white male, private Catholic, not eligible for FA

Most of my ECs were work experience, I worked a lot in a surgical office through high school, starting by doing marketing materials, then moved to sterilizing equipment, and then started to assist with anesthesia and patients in the last 2 years. I worked vacations and summers when I had time and they could use me. I did also have some sports (2 years each in 2 varsity sports), some model UN, some community service.

Accepted for nursing to: U Alabama Tuscaloosa, U Alabama Birmingham (honors), UMBC (w merit award), U Mass Lowell, Temple, U Maine, Becker (merit award), UVM (merit award).

Accepted but rejected for nursing major: UNH, URI, Mass Amherst, Rochester

Denied: U Conn, Union, BC, SUNY Bing, Villanova, U Michigan, Northeastern.

    Waitlist: Fairfield

    Attending: UVM
