Math 151.01 Recitation but no Lecture?

I recently went to orientation and set up my schedule, but I had some issues with getting my classes to work out because my Chem 161 and Math 151.01 were during the same time. After talking with a woman she put me in Math 151.01 at night, but after looking back I realized it's only recitation and I have no lecture. Is this okay? I thought they were both required.

Check with your advisor. As far as I know, you can't schedule two classes at the same time and you can't take a recitation withoutbeing scheduled for the lecture. That said, there were classes my son took where he only went to the recitation because he did not feel the lecture was useful for him.
