OSU Business

I'm currently in high school and planning on going to OSU. I'm interested in going into the field of business and I'm wondering what the requirements are for getting a masters degree in business. I have a few questions about this topic:

Is there more than one type of degree in business? If so, what are they?

What are the core requirements for OSU (such as Chemistry, Physics, History, Calculus, Statistics, English, ect.)?

What are the required business courses to get the masters degree?

I might also add that I am planning on taking AP English Lang, AP English Lit, AP US Govt and AP Chemistry (maybe AP Psychology, AP World History and self study AP Statistics) Are those enough AP classes to make a good impression on them? And what scores on the exams would you reccomend that I recieve to be able to waive credit for required classes?

I am also taking electives such as Bussiness Foundations, Acounting, Business Law, ect. Will these classes actually help me in any way prepare for OSU Business?

There's many business degrees i.e. Finance, Administration, Marketing, Accounting, Logistics, Economics, etc.

    Minimum req's

    4 units of English
    3 (4) units of math
3 units of natural science with significant lab experience
2 (3) units of social science
2 (3) units of the same foreign language
1 unit of a visual or performing art

7 APs. That's good for this school. I heard 4-5 is what you need to get credit.

Business classes in high school are a joke, if you want to truly prepare, participate in business related extracurriculars like FBLA and DECA.
1 additional unit of the above courses

Ohio State is very generous with AP credit, all you need is a 3 for credit and they give credit for almost all of the AP exams.

With AP credit, along with PSEOP/CC classes, I came into OSU as a sophomore. Huge, huge, huge advantage on multiple levels.

Fisher grants BSBA's. Majors vary from Accounting to Marketing, among others that XIONG mentioned.

Not sure what you mean about getting your masters in business. Do you want to get your BSBA and MBA at the same time? I'm not sure if OSU would even let you do that, and if they do, it is generally a bad idea anyway and I would not recommend it.

OSU does have an integrated BSBA/MAcc, which with enough AP credits you could earn in 4 years. You should look into this if you are interested in/majoring in Accounting.

OSU also has a Masters in Finance degree, but it is brand new and I don't think Fisher has an integrated program for undergraduates in place. At least not yet.

Any other questions? Hope this helped a little.

I am a finance major at Fisher. We actually all earn the same degree, a bachelors of science in business administration, but our major is our concentration.

What this means is the program at OSU has business majors taking a little of each business discipline. We all take accounting, finance, marketing, and several administration-type classes, so our understanding of business is well rounded.

I think an introductory understanding of accounting would be useful, as would a stats class.

How about IB credits? I'm going to be enrolled in IB Business Management HL next year and I'm wondering what credits I could get and what classes I wouldn't have to take if I get good scores on the exams.
