Case Western vs. Ohio State

So here is my situation I am down to Case Western and Ohio State and face a very odd situation. Case is considerably cheaper for me at somewhere around 10k (mom works there, and receive an additional 3500 package annually) while Ohio State will be somewhere around 20k. My primary goal is to go to Medical School, and what I love about Ohio State is the flexibility and wide range of majors. I was on campus today and found that the new Public Health major is quite appealing especially as a great complement to doing Pre-Med. I am just not quite sure whether it is "smart" to pass up the deal at Case and find something there to settle on. Also I was wondering the differences or similarities in their pre-med programs, as going to med school is #1 for me!

The most important thing, if you're medical school bound, is saving money. Period.

Go to Case. I think the pre-med advising is better and it is cheaper!

oh I'm sorry I forgot to mention that at Ohio State I already have 1.5 semesters worth of AP Credit, so basically by doing one summer I can graduate in 3 years, and also have more time to focus on pre-med reqs, not sure if that makes a difference?

Case would still come in cheaper and would be the better school for premed if you think you will do well, stay the course, and enjoy the school.

Go to OSU and get the full use of your AP credits and then go to Case for the real medical school if the same discount for Case applies for medical school! I had the same dilemma, but I am not going for medicine. Case if known for being a great school if you are going into medicine. That is a hard decision! I say go with the money if all else fails!
