OSU Scholarships

Just recently, I had a senior scholastic banquet where I received a few outside scholarships. However, these scholarships can only be applied to educational expenses like tuition. I am struggling to find information on whether merit scholarships and grants from OSU can be applied to room and board - or can these only be used for tuition as well? Am I allowed to have my tuition-only scholarships applied to tuition, and my OSU-awarded scholarships/grants towards room and board? When I received the Maximus Scholarship and my grants, there was no mention that they could only be used for tuition - but I am just not sure.

I would call admissions or the registrar for accurate information.

@jmacskey So I received a lot of aid and have talked with admissions a lot. From what I gathered through my experience any aid from osu can be used for anything tuition, housing, or be refunded as a refund check for books of all other cost are covered. You can have your tuition only aid sent in and your osu aid will automatically go towards the other expensive son your balance. Also you can’t go over the cost of attendance so if all your aid overflows definitely file a cost of attendance appeal for a laptop or other funds so money can be refunded to you.
