ED2Go vs Community College CMAA

I am looking to get my CMAA. My 2 options are online at community college through Ed2Go, which offers CMAA and CPC. The other is my local community college which is just CMAA, but is worth credits towards an Associates in Admin Support with MAA specialty (which I probably wont do as this is a short term plan while I go for my EE degree) My question is this. Do employers looking at your certifications care where your education is from or just that you have a certification?
