Can I get into MOP/IMO?

casualforumercasualforumer 5 replies4 threads New Member
I a 8th grader who is going to 9th grade. For some time now, I've been wanting to progress my math journey into olympiads and competitions. But I dont feel confident in myself. I can't get above a 90 on the AMC10, and much too scared to try to ATTEMPT the AMC12. Whenever I join an AOPS High School Math Contest Course, I feel so dumb because of my limited understanding in so many areas compared to everyone else. I'm ready to start working hard from 9th grade until the end of high school. Is it even remotely possible to get to MOP or even the IMO or am I too late? Any experiences are appreciated. I want to know when you started or how hard you worked to get to MOP/IMO.
