Kalimbas, anyone?

I’m considering getting a kalimba for ds for his birthday. Hard to buy for a young twenty-something. He is very musically accomplished on the piano, and I thought this would be a fun instrument with a cool sound he might enjoy playing around with.

I’m looking at a Hugh Tracey alto kalimba. This seems to be a popular brand and model. Any suggestions for books? Does he need beginning books, per se’? Any solid YouTube instruction or good websites that anyone knows of?

I had a kalimba when I was young and I gave one to my son-in-law. Check out Foyo, a song from the show Wait a Minim, on YouTube for a nice example of kalimba accompaniment.
