I'd just read the Sinners Alley thread about snakes and assumed OP meant snakes in the basement.

I'm undecided. I'm still dealing with my own disappointment that a solid community (mostly adults, a few great kids,) is falling apart. In ways, we live each other's lives, as time passes. Yeah, we sometimes need to get a life.

I don't think this format is that bad and would stay here but also would add another site if many of you leave.

Let me know where it is if/when you create something and I'd join in. I would be OK with either an anonymous site like this one or a private FB page type thing where people would know our names.

I'm very interested. This new format is very difficult to use on my iphone, which is the major way I use it. I'm sad, but it really does free up a lot more time. ;)

I would be interested in a new site. I looked for the old alternative site that was established after the CC Elections and Politics forum was closed. It died in 2015.

I literally get pains in my eyeballs reading CC for more than a few minutes and I would welcome a new home where I could enjoy (as opposed to survive) reading various threads.

I'd like it too. The current format hurts my eyes.

I come here primarily for the camaraderie and intelligent discussions on the Parent Cafe. I was grieving the loss of it last week. I’ll go wherever I need to go. Count me in.

Ok. I'll start the ball rolling. Any ideas for a domain name?

Something with the words "parent cafe" in it???

Would your format allow for separate threads on a variety of topics? Or separate forums ?

I would be interested too. No ideas for a name. There are more creative people here than me.

I'd be in as long as it didn't require FB or similar or have so many ads to require a lot of data (our main source of internet at home). I'm not on FB and have no plans to start. I despise this new format here, though enjoy the camaraderie.
